Nault Conservation Easement

In November of 2012, Richard Nault donated a conservation easement to the BLT which covers 3.2 acres of land near the intersection of Meetinghouse Rd. and Rt 101 in the historic town center.  Stone walls surround the emergent forest, which gradually drops into a large fresh water marsh, home to snapping turtles and refuge for ducks on their annual migration.  The easement permits passive recreation, such as walking, bird watching and snowshoeing, although care should be taken to avoid the abundant poison ivy there.
